Digital Walking Tours

"Digital Walking Tours" is a mobile friendly web app that creates custom walking tours, highlighting points of interest in the user's immediate area.

The system utilises open point of interest data from the Tasmanian Government's land information service, open urban art data from the Hobart City Council, and LINC location data for libraries and Online Access Centres.

We envisage this being useful to tourists and other short term visitors who may wish to visit some of these points of interest, but would otherwise have no idea what interesting sites exist in close proximity to them.
